Questions on Rolling
How often can you roll?
The same as any yoga, you can practice everyday. Though like any physical practice, your body, your fascia thrives on variety. So if you are rolling everyday make sure you spice it up, and get into some different spots.
Is there anywhere you shouldn't roll?
Think of it like a massage, and use your inner guru. Or in other words, an elbow in the spine wouldn't feel great in a massage so listen to what your body is telling you. If it doesn't feel good (or in that ‘bad-but-good way’) then don't do it!
There are a couple of contraindications. Pregnancy, while you can still roll, be careful and soft and use common sense as to where to put the balls. Nerve damage or chronic injury have to be approached with extreme caution. If you have a specific question or concern, just ask us and we’ll do our best to help you with it.
